More than 600 spiritually-minded filmgoers congregated in
Minneapolis at the Riverview Theater for three hours of Damah
films October 15 , 2002. Riverview Theater’s dark crushed
velvet seats and art deco ambiance hail back to the 1950’s
when it’s high back stadium seating was an unheard-of
extravagance. Handbent woods and original furnishings surrounded
indie filmlovers of all ages as they munched on popcorn, milk
duds, and startling new spiritual themes provided by Damah
films. The din of intermission was punctuated by laughter,
spiritually stimulated chit chat, and of course the almost
imperceptible squench of bubble gum stretching from shoe to
floor. Afterwards, filmgoers left satisfied by their steady
diet of sugar, spiritualism, and social connection.
