Damah in DC :: July 24,
2002
Across the street from the White House, representatives from
the State Department, Justice Department and White House staff
mingled with Damah filmmakers and Board members during a swank
cocktail hour at the American Institute of Architects. Harpists
strummed, wine flowed and high dollar munchies were consumed
before the Damah films began to roll. Then more than 140 of
our nation’s leaders viewed a collection of Damah’s
inspirational short films.
2001 Damah Award-winning filmmakers Katherine McKinney and
Aimee Barth attended the festivities, as did Damah Board members
Sean Dimond and Clyde Taber. The
Voice Behind, Inc. hosted the event and several U.S. Senators
and Congressmen, along with local businessmen, sponsored the
evening. ::visit:: www.voicebehind.org
